Understanding the current app
Before redesigning the app, I analysed the existing user experience and interface. While the app serves its purpose, it has usability issues that make navigation difficult, especially for reserving books, checking library events, and managing accounts.
Brand refresh with a new logo and colour palette
To modernise the app and create a stronger identity, I designed a new logo and colour palette. The updated branding reflects the values of accessibility, knowledge-sharing, and community. The colour choices ensure a clean, inviting look while maintaining readability and contrast for accessibility.

I chose to use native iOS and Android components to create an intuitive experience while also making development more efficient. Given that libraries have limited resources, using native UI elements ensures the redesign is easy to implement and maintain.
